A blue-purple Merida Miami with pink handlebar tape and tan-wall tyres, standing on a leaf-covered forest track between birch trunks.

The story

Found in a garage clearance outside Oslo with flat tyres, a seized bottom bracket and a rear derailleur that had given up somewhere around 2003. The frame itself was untouched.

It came back as a drop-bar bike. Same frame, same paint, entirely different job. The pink tape was not a design decision so much as the only thing that looked right against that purple.
